I tried installing this driver manually but it fails.
Is there any tips in getting this driver install easier on SLES.
Also I see I cant find mysql_config on my system, how to I include it
alongside the make statement.

A few suggestions:

(1) When you're reporting problems, include the output that you saw.
People can help better when they see the problem, instead of having to
guess what it was!

(2) You're on Suse. Did you use YaST or CPAN or some other source?

(3) You're on SLES. Contact Novell technical support. (a quick google
shows some maybe related issues)
