I have an ftp site on XP Pro\IIS and I would like to secure it

I tried removing 'Everyone' from the Security tab of that folder but then I
couldn't browse the http site that point to the same folder and I then
connected as an Admin

What is then the solution?

the permission in iis is cmulative means that if you removed ntfs permission
it will effect the site for sure

what you going to do is to let everone role back again with read only
permission

or you can network service which is the user for the guest that visit your
site.

you can secure the ftp site by opening properities of the ftp sites and from
security account tab remove allow anonymous connections .

then you will have to add the users which you want them to logon to the ftp
site
also you can secure it using the ips by adding them on the directory
security tab
