Hi all, thanks for your help in the past. win 2k, fms 9, php api for
filemaker. had a mysterious crash error, still not solved, but
thanks Remi for replying. I am trying to upgrade from 9.0 v2 to 9.0
v3, I dll'd the trial version, then put in the serial # from the disk
I bought, but I get this error -> "The file D:\files\Filemaker Server
9 .msi is not a valid installation package for the product Filemaker
Server 9. etc" This comes after putting the Original disk in the dvd
"D" drive and browsing to it......

then the upgrade only gives me an option to cancel the upgrade......

Well, your FMS 9 under Win2K puzzled me, so I looked at FMI site :
http://www.filemaker.com/products/fms/tech_specs.html
and I saw that FMS9 requires "Windows 2000 Server SP4" : is it your case ?
Of course very often FM works on other systems than the ones 'certified',
but if it is not the case for you...

I apologize for not being more clear. It is in fact win 2000 server,
service pack 4.

Problem solved by uninstalling, reinstalling from the fms 9 disk and
doing the updates sequentially, Thanks
