Server Extensions unable to access the file "frontpg.lck"

My office's webmaster has left; I am relatively new working with FrontPage.
Hope someone can explain what I need to do to fix my problem.
Background: Running FP2002 on my office laptop, with non-previleged
permissions. I am the webmaster on our office's web server and have full
administrative rights to it. Web server is running Win2000, SP4, and is
current on all patches/updates.
Description of problem: I am cleaning up the main website of all old web
pages, photos, etc. While I am in FrontPage on my laptop, I open the
website, go to the folder, select the file, click delete and get the
following: "Server error: the server extensions were unable to access the
file "frontpg.lck". Please check the file permissions." This problem
started this Friday, 25Jan08. Before that day I was able to successfully
delete files without any problem.

After some research, I deleted the frontpg.lck and service.lck files while
logged in to the web server but I am still getting the same error message.
Not sure that I deleted these files correctly.

Any help/suggestions on how to resolve my problem would be very much
appreciated!!!

Re: Server Extensions unable to access the file "frontpg.lck"

Sound like permissions have changed on the server.
Run a server health check.

RE: Server Extensions unable to access the file "frontpg.lck"

Steve:

Thanks for the info! It turned out that my non-previleged account did not
have the correct permissions to publish to the web server. I am back in
business.
