I have inserted a .jpg picture but when saving the page it doesn't offer me
the Save Embedded Files dialog box. I have seen it in the past but it doesn't
do it now. I have done a detect and repair...

You need to avoid that option as it will reduce the quality of our JPG images, you should always
import your images into your current open FP web / site, then insert the images on to your pages.
