Shopping Cart & Network Solutions
Please excuse, I am a techno-tard. Is anybody using Network Solutions and a
shopping cart from CandyPress? NS says fine, use theirs, but you'll need to
(something about FTP?)I already accept cc's at my business, so I have a
processor for transactions. I want a one time cost, we're po' folk in
Upstate NY trying to stay afloat! Thanks in advance for your help. We
appreciate it very much.

Re: Shopping Cart & Network Solutions
it's not a problem I use Candypress and FrontPage/ Expression Web all the
time.
while I haven't used network solutions I'm sure they're telling you to mark
the database as "writable".
as long as there's FrontPage extensions on the domain you can do it
yourself.
open your web with FrontPage, click tools, site settings, database tab.
click add, browse to the database you have inside the site and then after
it's added click verify.
now re-publish the site to the hosting space.

Re: Shopping Cart & Network Solutions
feel free to contact me through the link in my signature.
I made a screen video for a guy a while back showing exactly how to do this
and I think I still have it.
