shared border problem in website in two languages

I want to build a website in the Dutch language and the English language. If
I make 2 maps, one for the Dutch and one for the English, the shared borders
for the two sites remain identical. It is either in Dutch or in English. But
I want to have an English border text for the English site and a Dutch border
text for the Dutch site. Please help me

Re: shared border problem in website in two languages

Make each language site a separate Subweb (not just a separate Folder)

Yes, I think this is working. Is it a problem to have two index files. I also
fear that al the links have to be modified and picuters reinserted. A lot of
work, but thanks a lot anyway

Re: shared border problem in website in two languages

Another thing. Would it be better two make two different subsites and move
all the files or first to make two forlders and then later convert these to
websites?

Re: shared border problem in website in two languages

Make 2 subsites from the outset. The root web will contain a page
giving the choice of languages, with links to the subsites.

Each subsite is considered as an independent website, each with its own
home page. If you built the complete website with folders (to be
converted later) you may run into problems with links to the home page,
such as "Which home page am I linking to?"
