I have FP2002 on my notebook computer and I'm having to send it into the shop
for repairs. I tried installing my FP2002 onto my home desktop so I could
maintain my website during this time, but i get the message that this copy of
FP is already installed on another computer and wont let me install on my
desktop PC.

What do I do to get this on my computer so I can continue to update my site
while notebook in the shop??

with office products like this the user license is usually for one desktop
and one laptop.
when you install it, chose the "phone" option for registration.
they're helpful and surprisingly quick.
