There is a federal law against interpreted software in voting machines.

A federal law in which country? It can't be Canada because we use paper
ballots. :-)

The video is talking about voting software for the usa. They give some
state names as examples.

It must be nice. When I went to vote away Bush last time, they would not
give me a paper ballot. They acted like they had no idea what a paper
ballot was. After complaining a while, they found one, and I filled it
out, but I doubt it was ever counted. They didn't even have a box to put
it in.
