my default page is messed up

I had a website set up and it has been published then I tried to copy the
existing page to use it as a template for another and now the default page
does not show the little home icon and when I right click to set it as my
home page it does not show the option - any ideas ?

What is the name of your defective home page - some names and/or
extensions cannot be used in FrontPage for default pages.
