Access not showing results on Page
Hello, I am a beginner of starters. I used the wizard to connect to a DB in
access to show results on the page. It put the DB in a folder under the dir
and also changed the extenion from html to asp. The Message states that I
will not be able to view results unless it is on a server that accepts Active
Server Pages. So I have a hosting site that I FTP the file onto and it still
shows the same error message. Also the Hit Counter is not showing up either
which may or may not be the same issue. Thanks in advance. Aaron
Re: Access not showing results on Page
For the ASP page to work, your site must be on a Windows server that
supports Active Server Pages and Access.
For the FP Hit Counter to work, your site must be hosted on a server that
has the FrontPage Server Extensions enabled. And if they are, you should not
be using FTP to upload your changes.

Re: Access not showing results on Page
Hi kathleen,
The Hosting site is running Windows 2003 and I installed the FP ext per the
instructions on the site. The Comment about not using FTP I am not
understanding.

You said: "So I have a hosting site that I FTP the file onto and it still
shows the same error message."
Using FTP to upload files to a web site that has the FPSE enabled may
corrupt the server extensions.

Re: Access not showing results on Page
Thanks for getting back so quickly.
I am not sure if they have any other way to get the site I created to the
Hosting Server. Would this be what is causing my problem?

Re: Access not showing results on Page
From within FP, use File Menu | Publish Site and enter the destination as:
http://www.yourdomainname.com then your login info.
