Environment:
Windows sever 2003 on two servers in different domain.
I am trying to copy my IIS websites (1200+) etc. in IIS 6.0 to another
server in another domain and I am completely confused by the Microsoft tools
available. I''ve tried iiscnfg.vbs and iiscnfg2.vbs (non-microsoft supported)
to:
1. copy and paste . Didn't work.
2. export and import. The export of the metabase file worked fine to a thumb
drive. But when I inserted it in the destination server, I can't seem to
import from the drive, no matter what I do (I can see the drive and the
metaback file).
3. The IIS migration tool has no instructions on how to copy IIS to another
domain so I am lost there. I didn't even try it.
4. In desperation, I even tried Robocopy, which of course did not work.
Does anyone have any clue on how this can be done, and please provide some
examples for me?
