I have a weird problem with text inputting in FileMaker 8.5 (MacOs X
10.4) and I was wondering if someone knows any solution.
I am inputting non-Roman Unicode text (Greek and Cyrillic) in a text
field in my database. The font of the field is set to a font that
supports both Greek and Cyrillic. When the text is inputted however,
the text appears in Helvetica and the font name in the font menu is
changed to <unknown>. I have to select the text and reapply the font
to have it shown properly. The problem appears in 8.5 only (8.0 is not
affected), "Font locking" and "Synchronizing font with field's input"
are switched off. Any thoughts?
