moving website or backing it up

Hello,

I am retiring a 2003 SBS. Installed on this is our company intranet.

Inside IIS in the defaul website points to a folder on the C:\ called InetPub

My question is, what is the best or easiest way to backup this website and
install it on a new Windows 2003 Server.

Thanks for your input.

RE: moving website or backing it up

Hi
There is two options dong so:

1. You can back it up using a script, Copy the copy the InetPub folder & the
metaback files to the new server & restore them from the IIS Manager

IIS Backup Script: http://www.urlscan.net/backup-iis-configuration.html

2. You acn save all settings to XML file from the IIS Manager (inetmgr)
copy the InetPub folder & the XML file to the new server' than on the new
server create new web site from file (the XML)

all settings wil be restored inboth ways.
