IE 6 open XHTML file

I use NVU to creat a XHTML file. Using Firefox, I can open this XHTML
file. Unfortunately, I can't open this XHTML file by useing my IE
6.0. Does IE 6.0 support XHTML file? Or, any one can give me any
suggestions? Any messages from this group is appreciated.

Without the URL, one can only guess. However, this one sounds easy. It
appears you are actually serving the XHTML with the proper content-type
of application/xhtml+xml, rather than text/html. IE doesn't understand
it, and simply offers to download the file.

Here are samples of XHTML and HTML.

No. Neither does IE 7.
