I have to have a way in Perl to send out emails on both Windows & Unix
systems. In searching CPAN I see 100's of them.

Can someone recommend a simple one to use?

I'd recommend Mail::Mailer.

Never had any problems to run it under Unix, and right now have
installed it on my PC with Windows and it also works (with external
smtp server).

Yes, SMTP is very simple to use and understand. Only several lines' code
needed.

Re: Sending out Emails via Perl

I use MIME::Lite for my emails, which oftentimes need to be either in
HTML or come with attachments. It's a breeze.

Re: Sending out Emails via Perl

MIME::Lite has always done the job for me. I guess you need someone who has
used all 3 of the modules mentioned if you want a proper comparison...
