FileMaker Pro and political campaigns

Does anyone have any experience using FileMaker Pro in a political
setting. I'm looking for a database to use in a local campaign I'm
running, mostly as a donor database. As I'm on a Mac, the various
Access-based products are not an option for me. I've used FileMaker
Pro before and like it. But I'm not adept enough to build my own
database (and I don't have time, anyhow).

I think that FileMaker Pro 9 and the Donations application would be
sufficient for my needs, but I can't quite tell for certain based just
on the screenshots -- and for obvious reasons there's no download of
Donations available for "testing." I was hoping that perhaps someone
on here had used Donations in conjunction with a political campaign,
and might be able to either vouch for its abilities or point me in the
direction of a better solution.

Thank you in advance, and I'll be here and available to answer any
questions about, more specifically, what I'm looking for, should that
be necessary.
