ctladdr

Hello Folks:

Been reading my O'Reilly Sendmail book and reading sources online but can't
find any mention of "ctladdr" I would take this to stand for Controler
Address, but still fail to fully understand it's significance.
Can anyone shed any light?

Thanks a lot,

DTB

From section 2.1.1 of ${SOURCE}/doc/op/op.* :

ctladdr The ``controlling user'', that is, the
name of the user whose credentials we use
for delivery.
