Problem with FileMaker 9 -- "do not evaluate if all referenced fields are empty"

Hi all...

User pointed this out. Sure seems like a bug to me, but I'm looking
for some confirmation...

Big database with multiple tables. One table has a calculated
field with some SQL command in it. Calculation box has the "Do Not
evaluate if all referenced fields are empty" check box on it.

In FileMaker 8.5 -- if I view this field value ("test") in a layout
in the table -- the data in the calculated field shows.

If I view this field value in a layout hosted primarily by another
table (ie, the field is "::<test>"), the field shows the data in the
other layout -- in 8.5

In FileMaker 9 -- the field value shows in the layout where "test"
is.

But in the layout where "::test" is -- there's no data.

However, if I *deselect* the "do not evaluate..." check box in the
calculated field box -- *then* the field data shows up in the other
layout.

Which is not what I want it to -- and it seems to be a bug.

Anybody think of anything I might possibly be missing here?
