Import From Excel

Hopefully this is an easy-to-answer question.

When I try to import records from an Excel worksheet, the FM tables in the
Target drop-down box are grayed out. I think this has worked before - not so
sure why it won't now.

Any assistance is appreciated.

Also what version of Excel may be an important factor. The newest
Windows versions of Word, Excel, etc. have brand new file formats that
may well cause problems, but this should be fairly easy to solve by
using "Save As" and re-saving the file to an older format.

The only reason I can think of is that the databse is "locked" /
read-only so can't import records. This can happen on Windows PCs if
the file has been transferred via CD or of course if you don't have the
correct access privileges.
