Hello group!

I use FP 5.5 on Win2K.
I have 3 databases and want to combine data out of all three.
I have data in C which is related to data in A.
Now I want to have a portal in B which shows the related data from C. These
data from C is only shown partially. Only the data that is stored in C is
shown and not the related data which comes from A.
How can I get all the the relevant data to show up?
I have to add that I have very little experience with filemaker. Is this
something for scripting? And if yes how?

This is normal behavior. In older versions you can not see through levels of
relations. Data from A is NOT relayed to C it is only visible there. Not
actualy there. You have to work around this. You can create a calculated
field inside C that holds related info and use this field to make visible
what you want.

On a more complex note you might want to create a new file that only acts a
combination file. It will hold fields for the relations. And relations to
all files.

All depending on what you need.
