netscreen 5gt DMZs

We're looking at buying a Netscreen 5GT Plus, and may want to use a
DMZ.

Can someone tells me the differences in using the Netscreen in
combined mode for a DMZ versus having the true DMZ via the Extended
model? Is it even possible? If so, what do I lose by using the
combined mode vs. paying the extra couple hundred for Extended?

Thanx,

yes, i know those stats/difference, but it doesn't tell me whether i
can use the combined port mode as a make-shift DMZ or not, and if i
can, how that would differ from the Extended model's DMZ port
