my curent configuration of HP Unix system is as below:

hp unix version 11
perl version 5=2E8=2E0
When i do >>perl makefile=2EPL, i don't get any error=2E

Writing Makefile for DBI
Remember to actually *read* the README file!
Use 'make' to build the software (dmake or nmake on Windows)=2E
Then 'make test' to execute self tests=2E
Then 'make install' to install the DBI and then delete this working
directory before unpacking and building any DBD::* drivers=2E
