When Napoleon seized control of France, he fired the court
musician (Mozart?). He said that every possible combination of
notes had already, at some point, been combined.
Every web site is just a take-off on some other web site.

Maybe for you. But there are a lot of good webmasters out there still
creating unique sites.

a unique idea is a one (if you are very lucky) lifetime occurance.

There's a scene in the movie "A Beautiful Mind". (Maybe it was
from the Steven Hawkings book - I forget.)
This super-smart math dude is trying to do doctorate stuff. He
talks about trying to come up with *one unique idea*. If he can
just come up with *one unique idea*, he'll be able to make his
mark on academia.
We're all looking for a one unique idea.
Some of us think every idea they have is a new one.
Some of us are smart enough to know how rarely that happens.

But you don't have to have a unique idea to have a unique website.
