How to exclude catalogs from search

Hello!

We are setting up a website on a Linux Server using FrontPage Extensions. As
far as we understand something called WAIS is used instead of Index Server
(which only runs on Windows systems).

The problem is that the search also seems to include catalogs that should
not be searched. How is it possible to exclude given cataloges?

I have searched microsoft.com, but found no answer to the issue.

Regards
Ivar

Re: How to exclude catalogs from search

Put those files that you don't want searched in hidden directories, i.e.:
_directoryname

Re: How to exclude catalogs from search

Thanks, Tom. I will try to do so. The issue is a lttile the fact that it is
about 3. part sw installed by the web provider on given catalogs som changing
paths have some implications, but we will look into it.

Best regards
Ivar
