will create temprory tables from select acquire lock

hello grp !

while running one application sometime i got these errors

Status : Failure - Deadlock found when trying to get lock;
try restarting transaction
Info : CREATE TEMPORARY TABLE TBL_XXXXX_TEMP AS SELECT
... some stuff


select statement contains INNODB tables . what does it mean ?
