IIS Worker Process encountered a problem and needed to close

When I reboot my Win2k3 Server, I get 5 or 6 of the following error messages
during the boot process:

"IIS Worker Process encountered a problem and needed to close

s2AppName: w3wp.exe szAppVer: 6.03.3790.1830 szModName: unknown szModVer:
0.0.0.0 offset: 00720067"

Can someone offer a suggestion as to the cause of and correction for this
error?

Thanks,

Re: IIS Worker Process encountered a problem and needed to close

It looks like a dll is unloading out from under the service. There are
several known causes. Run iisstate:

iissate -p <pid of w3wp.exe> -sc -d

This will attach IISState and it will wait until a crash occurs and create a
log. Post the log and we may be able to tell you the root cause.

Where is iisstate normally located?
