Using shared memory connections

Hello,

I would like to use shared memory connections (on
Windows), in order to access the database locally. The
reasons for it are:

1. Security - I dont want MySql to listen on
sockets/pipes
2. Performance

I configured the database to support shared memory.

How can I connect to the database via ODBC using
shared memory?
I did not see any related options in the data source
creation.

Thanks,
Yair
