HELP ERROR 2002: on mac os x

Hi People,

I hope someone will be able to help me in my quest :). I though last night
to much avail that MySQL was actually working on my ibook G4, running MAC OS
X version 10.3. However, this morning (after shutting down) this was not
the case. I have now recieved a flurry of permission errors and ERROR 2002.
MySQL will not even let me start. When i run the php script that did run
last night i get ERROR 2002: Can't Connect to local MySQL Server through
socket '/tmp/mysql.sock'. I also get various permission errors on the data
directory so i cannot read database tables or even access error logs :(.

Can someone help, or infact does any one know the cure to this error/bug in
OS X . Would apprechiate a prompt response / help as i need php and mysql
running for an assignment.

Thanks alot guys for anyone who can help

Craig

Hi!

This list is dedicated to the fully repeatable test cases.

A fully repeatable test case is a set of commands that always leads to
the error / bug condition.

Your case is definitely not of that type.
