When I try to shut down the server from the command-line, the server
shuts down but the cmd.exe just hangs and will not close.

Server should not close command line.

There is a bug in the shutdown for version 4.1 in the servers:
mysqld.exe, mysqld-opt.exe and mysqld-max.exe. which hangs the
server at end of the shutdown. This already fixed in the BK
development tree.
