Broken pipe & Connection reset on Apache look back feature

Broken pipe & Connection reset on Apache look back feature

am 10.06.2005 12:17:33 von Rune

I trying to make the pages on my site search friendly (like this:
http://www.sitepoint.com/article/search-engine-friendly-urls )

It works on my Apache 1.x but not on Apache 2. So I'm told to add this bit
to my httd.conf:
" # <-- my html root
AllowOverride all
"

And this bit to my .httaccess:
"AcceptPathInfo on"

And then it aparently works. But it is slow! And when I look in the
error_log I see each page load generates more than 50 "(32)Broken pipe:
core_output_filter: writing data to the network" errors, and 4-5
"(104)Connection reset by peer: core_output_filter: writing data to the
network" errors. The errors only come if the page generated (by PHP) exceed
a, though not very big, size.

Help! What am I doing wrong?

/Rune

There's also this "/web/favicon.ico" which I don't know what it.

So you have full control over the server ...

.... then why bother to use the slow road
Try
" # <-- my html root
AllowOverride all # obsolete unless using .htaccess
AcceptPathInfo on
"
http://httpd.apache.org/docs-2.0/mod/core.html#acceptpathinf o

Interpreting .htaccess for each and every request does not speed things.

There are 'issues' with apache 2 and php used as an output filter ...
.... show us the lines in both your apache configs relevant to php.
BTW what exact pairs of versions of Apache and PHP are you using?
