unable to update web page on host
Using FP2003 has caused me problems. Used to update host at will. Now, can
log on, but several pages are never updated.
For instance, my page warranty.htm was marked to publish, but will not
overwrite the existing page.
Re: unable to update web page on host
Are publishing the entire site using Change Pages only or individual pages? Try doing a complete
publish, then a change page only publish.

Re: unable to update web page on host
When you published, where you prompted to merge the navigation structure and you selected yes? If so
you need to delete the site off the live/remote server with FP and then do another publish with
change page only selected.
Whenever prompted to merge navigation, always select replace.

Re: unable to update web page on host
Thanks for looking.
Problem is that I have 13 buttons on the published site on the left side,
and on the bottom, and only 7 on my master on my hard drive.
This is driving me nuts...

Re: unable to update web page on host
solved it by following your directions to open remote and check/repair, by
deleting redundancies.

Re: unable to update web page on host
My problem has similar symptoms. Using FrontPage2003 I have been updating a
site for years with no problems. I had not updated it for 11 months. Now when
I try, I find that I can upload new pages, but cannot modify existing pages.
Frontpage indicates that the upload was successful and the date of the remote
file is updated, but its content is unchanged. I am baffled. What can I do?

Re: unable to update web page on host
Have you tried a full publish, not just changed pages?
Can you post a URL to one of the pages in question, telling us what *should*
be on the page that you recently changed, but isn't?

RE: unable to update web page on host
Hi Tom,
Thanks for your suggestion. You are making me feel like I know something
about what I am doing. Yes. I did try a full publish, followed by a change
page only publish. The URL is www.taylortwinpictures.com/default.htm. The top
item, Rob
Wins Best Actor! should have been pushed down to second place when I added a
new item above it. The updated page is actually on the site. I was able to
upload it as default2.htm. However, when I renamed default2.htm to
default.htm, it reverted to the original page.

RE: unable to update web page on host
If "Smack page is up" is the new item, then the new page is showing.
This puts your problem down to caches and/or proxy servers set up by
your ISP.
Try this link (the ? at the end is deliberate, and should break through
any caches and/proxy servers you use)
http://www.taylortwinpictures.com/default.htm?
