Needs help on Connecting to MySQL Db.

Hi,
I am new to MySQL and hence need some information on Connecting
to DB.

I have 2 servers one is HP-Unix and other is Linux. MySQL is
installed in Linux machine and hence i need to connect to that machine
through the client in HP-Unix machine. To do that i need the following
information.

1. Need a sample c program
2. make file necessary libraries to compile link it.
3. What libraries are required
