Problem: varchar data type in MySQL converted to Memo in Access

I have MySQL tables linked to Access. I would want to have field types from
MySQL displayed as text in Access. I have varchar L50 being converted to
Memo. How do I define the fields in mySQL so that their datatype appears as
Text in Access ?
