odbc port

I installed the latest myodbc version (.10 I believe) and when I test my
connection in odbc, it doesn't seem to use the port I specified. It's
on another computer and can't get this to work. I know it's using the
default port because I have a mysql server on that port also and when I
give it a valid id/pwd for that one, it works.

got the same on Win2k Pro SP2 and MyODBC .10-x (sorry, i already
deleted the file). The port is not correctly written to the registry
and also not correctly read from it.
I use MyODBC-3.51.06 now where assigning a port different to 3306 works
as expected.

RE: odbc port
I think this is a problem that has been recently fixed. The MySQL DSN
was forgetting the port number and defaulting to the standard one.
Try a newer version of MyODBC.
