Good morning,
I have tried to install both "MyODBC-standard-3.51.9-win.exe" and
"MyODBC-3.51.10-2-win.msi". Everything seems to go fine and I don't get any
errors. But when I go to ODBC Administrator I can't see the "MySQL" driver
under the drivers list.
Note that:
1- My operative system is Windows XP SP2
2- The file myodbc3.dll is regularly in my C:\WINDOWS\system32
directroy (where all the other drivers are)
3- I have tried to uninstall and reinstall it and everything aslways seems
to go well
Thank you
Amedeo

Hi Amedeo,
this is a well-known bug and was resolved with bug [#4303].
Please, can you look at the description of this bug or use the
following steps to fix the problem:
1.Call "regedit" programm under WindowsXP
2.The registry structur
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBCINST.INI\ODBC Drivers]
must export to the .reg file.
3.After then deleted the structur
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBCINST.INI\ODBC Drivers]
in the registry.
4.Edit the exported .reg file, with deleted following line >>> [at] ="" <<<,
5.Save the .reg file
6.Import the .reg file with the registry programm or call the .reg file
to be save the Driverskey
After these steps the drivers are listed correctly in the Microsoft
Driver Manager.
Best Regards
Harun

RE: Problems with windows xp
You won't see it in the first list you see. That list is a list of
existing connections. Click on the "Add" button and see if you can see
it in the list of drivers available.
I don't know if this is your problem, but I got fooled by this once.
