Problem with MySQL 5.0.2
Hello,
I had MySQL 5.0.0-Alpha running quite reasonably with StarOffice 7 using
the ODBC-Connection. Since
I installed 5.0.2 a couple of days ago, I get error 1061 (cannot connect
to MySQLD-server) when I try
to work with tables (they worked fine under the older release). MySQL
starts o.k. (both as a service
and standalone) on its own (e.g. using the mysql client).
What might be the problem. I have already searched the internet from both
the MySQL and Staroffice
perspective. I am using Windows/2000.
Thanks for any help and regards

RE: Problem with MySQL 5.0.2
I have seen a comment on this mailing list that 5.0.2 is broken and you
should stick with 5.0.1 until 5.0.3 is available.

Re: Problem with MySQL 5.0.2
Heinrich,
Did you upgrade MyODBC? More to the point - what version of MyODBC are
you using? MyODBC version 3.51.10 has a problem with SQLDriverConnect on
MS Windows which could cause this problem. A fix is being worked on now
and will be published to www.mysql.com soon.
