I am developing an application using MySQL-server version
5.0.10-0.glibc23 64-bit and access XP on a Windows XP Pro machine. I can
get the connection set up and it tests fine but when I try to link
tables in access I get the following error:

Reserved error (-7701); there is no message for this error.

Has anyone experimented with the Alpha drivers and MS Access?

This problem is known. Making the new, alpha, driver work with MS Access is
the #1 priority.
