Problem Viewing Records in MySQL Control Center 0.9.1 Beta

I just installed the W2k versions of Apache, MySQL 4.0.5, Control Center
0.9.1 Beta, and PHP 4.1 and successfully run a few sample PHP programs.
Seems to work ok, EXCEPT:

If I try to use the Control Center for making and looking at tables, I have
problems. The most serious is when I try to display the records in a table.
I get message: ERROR 1104: The SELECT would examine too many records......

This is with tables containing only one or two records. I apologize for
directing this to you. I don't yet know my way around the resources. In
particular, I have no documentation at all on the Control Center.

Overall, this looks like very nice software. My compliments to all the
contributors.
