Extracting FMP6 Embedded images

I have some databases that contain large numbers of scanned images. They
are approaching the 2GB limit and so I want to export the images and
instead use references. We have a large Windows server system.

I know, FMP 8-9 is the way to go, but it would mean an expense of
several thousand K for our multi use environment just to solve this
singular problem - all the other databases are very happy. The boss
won't like that.

I found a free plugin online that does this but it only works on OS9 and
FMP 5.5. Any ideas? I'm willing to pay for a good solution.

Thank you.

I guess the Troi File Plugin could be an excellent candidate.
I am not 100% sure it does what you ask for - while I strongly believe so,
as I used it for years - and you can check at www.troi.com, they have all
versions, with 'precooked' examples, that can be used as such..

Re: Extracting FMP6 Embedded images

FmPro Migrator ($100) can also extract container field data and write it to
your local hard disk.
